Haiti Relief Mission:
January, 30, 2010
Jesus Loves Haiti; In partnership
with: Whosoever Ministries; Oasis Ministries; Macedonia
Missions; and others
Mission directive: “To Empower the local, indigenous,
church to reach the people of their community”
To accomplish this: We must have a base to operate from in
the country of Haiti.
The Plan: To build a base in Haiti near Port Au Prince to
have in secure walls 1) warehouse for supplies and resources to give to local
churches, 2) A housing facility to host teams, 3) a clinic to care for sick and
injured, 4) a chapel for worship prayer (hopefully someday this would be a 24/7
hop) 5) a House for a local family, to work for the base providing security,
cooking and housekeeping
We have been given land,
with a wall and a well!!!!!!!!!!!!
The needs:
Business partners to provide building materials, and load a
container with building supplies for (first) #5, #1, & #2 Second container #3&
#4 on above list.
There is a complete list of details of needs (reference
“Jesus loves Haiti specifics of Base needs list”)
Presently we are looking for builder, contractors,
developers, engineers, anyone with the ability to help us design, acquire and
construct the Base.
Time line: We would like to have this ready or close by
March 16, as this will be the next team trip (With Whosoever Ministries) into
Haiti.
This is going to be at least a 10 year project… but we need
the base to even begin receiving containers of goods and supplies as we have no
place to unload and break down supplies to a level of giving them to the local
churches.
If you have any contacts… If you have any abilities, we
need you to contact either Frank Gresham at fgresham@jcdaytona.org
Thank you
Blessing from the Children and people of Haiti and the
ministries trying to reach them.

Greetings,
And thank you for your financial gifts they are going a long way to help the
devastation in Haiti Please begin setting aside an offering a month or so to
help with this effort. This will be on going for years.!!!! Thank you.
We started on Monday with a vision and some experience... well we gain more
experience but got a lot accomplished. we received our first load of supplies
which you paid for 90% of...and thank you. we took that to Pastor Vincent in
City Solae on the edge of downtown... to get there we had to drive through
garbage heaps full of new residents.. and broken buildings. we brought enough
for 1000 people and 6000 water bottles. as we began giving out food a riot
ensued and we had to leave in a rush because of security issues.
lesson we learned .. when Americans show up the people want everything we
have... not in an orderly way but in a panic .. out of desperation. They rush
you even if you have nothing to give!
Back at the orphanage where we were staying the lady who runs the orphanage was
kidnapped 3 years ago and understandably lives in fear and distrust so this
caused us considerable issues at our living quarters.
WE made great connections though.. a Lutheran pastor in one area Pastor
Bernard.... One Pastor in City Solae Pastor Vincent... One Pastor outside the
city who has an orphanage and our driver and interpreter Pastor Joseph... Plus a
few others ..... And one key connection in The DR Pastor Victor and his church
groups..... Through these we are going to reach The people of Haiti.
At present one team is trying to get 6 orphans out of Haiti to the USA two have
already been adopted just not yet picked up and 4 are seriously sick. I am in
Santa Domingo DR getting ready to come home...
This is what we found... by us giving out resources at Churches not only is
dangerous for the team but dangerous for the church at present... Pastor Vincent
even says it is not safe for us to simply visit his church now. And when we are
gone and not able to bring supplies He is in danger because they think He still
has something! Even Feed the Children went in and it was a mess.. Pastor Vincent
said, "when you came and gave out things went OK , with Feed the Children it was
unmanageable!" supplies for 1000 and 5000 showed up!
Here is our plan, We trust Pastor Victor and His church organization... He has
agreed to work with all our church contacts... We are going to supply funds to
Victor to Purchases and transport goods to PAP (Port Au Prince) and distribute
them to the churches ...some even in back alleys so people do not know they are
there... safety issues
Pastor Joseph, in Haiti will connect with church and find needs and get that
list out to us and pastor Vincent.
We must remove ourselves for awhile and let the people of this island do the
hands on... or put our lives and missions in jeopardy.
The situation in Haiti is this... You cannot give out supplies to the general
population because it will cause a riot... the streets of downtown PAP are in
ruins and the people near anarchy.... desperation... plus disorder that existed
before... mixed is not good. But yet through the church we will be able to help
More stories to come but wanted you to get an overview of our situation and
present movements..
Pray for us to get home and the 6 orphans to get rescued!
Love In Love Frank a son of the King
