The Word of God
Forever, O Lord, Thy word is firmly fixed in heaven.
2 timothy3: 16-17
All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord: I will put my laws on their heart, and upon their mind also will I write them; then saith he,
John 1: 1-4
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being by Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.

The Word of God is true!
All that it says we can be we can be. All that He says we can have, we can have. All that it says He will do through us, He will accomplish if we allow Him to use us.
Which translation should you use?
Which ever one you will read! Even though there are many translations, some more true to accuracy, others true to language, others just try to make it easier to read, and still others by tradition. Personally I prefer the “New American Standard” its tendencies to stay true to the text is important for me. The Amplified gives more meaning to many scriptures, and both King James versions have their poetic ring to scripture. NIV is a great translation for the new believer and those young in the Lord for the ease of understanding. The Bible is our love letter from God, it is our owners manual to our way of life, most importantly it should be lived through us not just read by us.
Recommended study of Scripture:
Read proverb of the day (the chapter in Proverbs that corresponds with the day of the month; 23rd day read chapter 23)
Read Psalms of the day (read 1-30, 31-60, 61-90, 91-120 and 121-150 per day of the month; on the 23 rd read chapters 23,53,83,113, and 143)
Read a chapter of the Gospel and one of the letters.
Sometime in your life read the entire bible from cover to cover or use one of the bible in a year bibles, but read it!
